When you look back over your life you may be surprised to find that stress has guidedyou in more positive ways than you could have imagined. One of the ways it does this is by forcing us to learn from our stressful experiences. Let me give you an example:

I recently had to travel with Bangkok Airways from Chiang Mai to Bangkok in Thailand. When I got to the airport there was an enormous queue waiting to check in. As I only had carry on luggage I decided to check in using my mobile phone. This was the first time I had used a mobile check in for any airline.

The check was very easy and I ended up with the boarding pass and seat allocation showing on my mobile phone screen.

However just as I was about to board the flight the “session timed out” and my boarding pass was no longer accessible. Fortunately I remembered the seat number and the staff at the gate cleared it for me to board the flight.

My important lesson: Always send a copy of the boarding pass to yourself via email. Had I done this when prompted the session time out issue would not have been a problem.
